Investing in children & youth includes providing supports for the family.
Youth serving organizations often recognize the limitations when investing in a brighter future for children and youth. Without serving and supporting families, the sustainable environment at home is often left lacking to help see God's perfect design for that child and family come to fruition.
In 2018, KICKO piloted a city-wide initiative to get other organizations focused on providing more family supports. This was in partnership with Rezilient Kids of Colorado Springs, CO. Rezilient Kids's Raising Highly Capable Kids parent curriculum has proved to be a valuable tool in engaging parents and supporting our families.
